weddings and birthdays

i’m in the habit of delaying blogging but i honestly don’t have the time this week. wahliau, time wellspent i hoped.

it’s been all blessed days and happy wishes and prayers for these past few days.

well for the last weekend i tried squeezing time for two weddings and a birthday suprise, plus a father’s day dinner as well.

it was sweet but rockin’ at heart Hasanah’s wedding last saturday! absolutely gorgeous in blue with all them rock ballad songs which definitely made my day. baik ah Hasanah~ and what do we love-at weddings- but taking pictures and delicious food!

also we graced Za’s sister’s wedding, Maswiyah. we missed the solemnization but nevertheless, we hyped up the wedding, again, with pictures and laughters!

mono: i definitely want you girls to be at my wedding! -whenever that is!! haha

oh then squeezed my time for Dyan’s birthday surprise @ Pasir Ris, carefully planned by her fiance and her nus besties. anything for a friend don’t we? fig and olive delicacies, nice choc cake and a ‘JB’ surprise for we-dig-you-awesome Dyan!!

and anything for the family….we had dinner @ Clarke Quay, at this indonesian restaurant. father’s day and nice smelling gift.

shasha’s surprise bday at muis! (heh, i tell you, anything for a friend~)

contented with 4 of us, and mary all the way to bring the birthday balloon. truly relieved you girls loved the truffle cake and a freshly sunflower from the heart for sayanged shasha with extra blue roses for all of us!

now…what else….oh yeah…a little birthday wish for Yuun on her birthday also…

and also Ratu’s birthday last friday… me and my little sibs went out for cycling (am so happy to be spending the afternoon with my little ones!!)…just so as a ruse to go out and buy something for her…and it’s truly her day really. surprised her with a yummy ice cream cake and a dinner of pizzas + a sparkling shiny bracelet of Paris Bijoux. (wow…last mother’s day you got a pearly ring..now..bracelet), anything for a mother’s happiness!

and what else did i miss??

oh last but definitely not the least…a schoolmate got married today..Fadhlina to her man…

woow..i kept remembering how we used to tease and tease her without care during school..just because she’s so naive and blurred…but hey…she’s married!!

baju dah sama biru lagik~

and guess who i met? used to be notorious guy who i don’t know how we got to be an item during hingusan days. it’s funny..i acted like i don’t know him and he acted like he don’t know me, when the reason we broke off was because a friend’s kepo-ness. oh well…those were the days…i honestly don’t care.

so all is well. my best prayers for my friends on their birthdays and marriages. another day to live, another day to live a new life, another day for me to face..

anyway…i had this thought…i got it on shasha’s bday..i was thinking- i’m going to be a year older too very much soon..how do i act that age?

a leap day to remember

i was surrounded by happiness, smiles, laughters, happy tears this beautiful 29th Feb.

very early in the morning, i attended Hidayah’s solmnization, my longest and oldest friend since Primary 1. a very nice morning indeed, cool and tranquil and hidayah’s happen to be the first couple to be solemnized at ROMM at 9 am, wokey!

me and another oldest closest friend, Mahir, were there to witness Dayah’s turning point in life. I have to say, this friend of mine had gone THROUGH A LOT! A LOT. and she braved it all. faced it with the determination and belief that everything will turn out well in the end. amazing lady indeed. i’m proud of you Dayah!!! My best prayers for you and may this new life will bring some new light. but waittt, there’s still the majlis later in April. looking for that too!!(yeah they had to delay that for need to find an agreeable good date to nikah).

and Mahir!! ni lagi satu, punyalah susah nak jumpa!!! and at last, we get to meet!! Mahir!! we must meet again, never mind, if we had to endure your Ashiq’s fast driving. as long as we get to meet. haha.

from yesterday

heh, i’ve just realised that the 7th agenda on the list was the first which i managed to do…. why ah? we always seemed to rush for things which don’t really matter when there are so many things in this world which demand concern. but we can only think and do so much.

i simply loved stardust, even though i got chided from ratu for going alone, she wanted me to go with dayah or some friend or tooottt, (what? you’re allowing me to date now???). 24 and still got lectured, haha. i kinda broke the familial tradition of going to cinemas together, or at least with some friends. but then… all of us are busy. mom and dad working, me working 7 days a week and my weekend working time is so toootttt, nuri busy with her preparations for her trip to India, Siti always busy with floorball or jamming, haliffi busy with sleep, gaming and night working shifts so he needs his sleeps during the day, and my little brother, well, he doesn’t really fancy stardust~ waaaa, macam anak terpinggir. haha. admit that i didn’t ask any of my friends, because i know my time will always clash with theirs (orang lain off weekends, gue enggak ada sih), and i planned to go to some place neighbourhood, no need for the glam of the town or wherever. and the only time am able to is to go someplace near my workplace after work. so junction 8’s the choice, booked evening show, had cheesy pasta for dinner, and before i knew it, i’m watching stardust~ so what if there were couples around or groups of friends filling up the room, i’m so damn happy and laughing my head off at those 7 dead princes!

i had been truly busy this week, trainings for teachers are starting soon and i’ve been receiving registrations, collating databases, calling up education officers reminding them to remind teachers about the profiling exercise and whatnots. 9 hours a day is seriously not enough. i’m rushing for time. truly. but that’s what makes a job rather bearable and it kills the boredom.

my best IIU roomie from Perak ties the knot today, and am sore that i couldn’t go to her wedding!!! i was so looking forward to it!! and then am stuck with some work, and furthermore, my little sister is going off for her 2-week student exchange programme to India tomorrow morning. i couldn’t bear to not see her before her trip.

so to dear Anna and Wan, my prayers for you newly-weds. i wish i was there to share the joy, but we’re so far away. here’s me and anna during our convocation. and no the guy’s not Wan, just her classmate. lord, we grew up. i miss our late night talks, miss your smile and enthusiasm, i have to say, you’re my best roomie, how we rule the room coz there was just the two of us before bushra came in, you cluttering around every morning, and being with me when i was in a distressed situation, along with julia, supporting us all the way and for showing me the ‘real weird world’ remember we always say : IIU is full of weird peoples! our love for reading! and the twins at st clare’s!!!

ok, so enough melancholy. i’m just happy that my week’s fulfilled. eating outs with colleagues , getting non-visible fat every day! but i had fun and i love all the people. hours well-spent in the office, nights well spent helping little sister to shop and pack things up. watch HEROES and the Ghost Whisperer, and deafening my ears with 30 seconds from mars and lots of personal reflections.

and yes, meeting with people who are on the ground with young people, discussing with them. Lord, we have a lot of things to do. and just tonight, senja2, a group of malay kids hanging out at the porch at the park, making noises. i just, pity them. i wanted to do something. Lord, please help us. for we have known, it’s upon us to let people know, aren’t we??

and we have been hearing good news throughout, people tying the knots, people welcoming babies, people having success, winning service awards, having breaks after days of exams, meeting girlfriends (can’t wait to see you girls this weekend, please please let it be real). and cuzzy aili having a dream about me…*winks at aili*

thank you lord for the gift of life.

a wedding + hmmm..a reunion somehow

am just back from a friend’s wedding! a schoolfriend..we grew up together…half of my life was spent watching one another grew. I’ve seen her past and now that she found the right man, i am very happy for her and wished her and husband all the best!!

Johana & Firdaus with a whole bunch of schoolfriends

Glaring red with black and silver chic

[aaarrrgh!! ok..yg dah kawin ada dalam 3 orang, termasuk ni dah empat, yang dah tunang dan nak kawin ada jugak, yg dah ada boyfriend lagilah tak terkira!! membilang kawan dan hari! even juniors who came for the dinner just now came with their partners! hehe, menantikan sajer kad jemputan dari mereka! best jugak pegi majlis kahwin ni!]

weddings

For the first time, in history….well my history that is – I got two invitations to weddings! It’s the start of those periods where suddenly everybody is getting married but…me~ hehe.

kak Faeza is now Umay’s and of course, the WEDDING OF THE YEAR: Kak Mizah and Abg Luqman!!! My sister’s married! I still can’t believe yet, remembering the fun and sad times we’ve had, the best roommate, the nites with the girls, movie marathons, that infectious laughter of hers, the caring sisterly concern she had for all of us, the ROCK CHICK she’s ever is (pengantin rock!), the closest senior I’ve ever had and now she’s married. and she looked GORGEOUS. Extremely happy for her, though I didn’t know much about her relationship with Abg Luqman, I’m sure they went through ALOT….kak Mizah dah kahwin!! faham tak?? : )

To Kak Mizah and Abg Luqman: May your marriage lasts forever…we’re waiting for the mini kak mizahs and abg mans, with the cheekbones and sailormoon eyes!!

To Kak faeza and umay: Congrats to you both, the perfect cute couple. Forever to you both!!
