life for the past week

life for the past week, had been pretty fruitful and rather eventful and whatever-ful you might want to call it~

for the earlier part of the week and the previous weeks since i established my status as Me-who-shall-be-at-home, my days had been pretty much the same. here’s a glimpse of it:
the timetable below is applicable on days when my mother is working…when she’s home, it’ll be somehow different

10 am – usual wake up time, mandi and all, breakfast if there’s any
11 am – drama Atikah najwa at rtm1
12 pm – Martha stewart show
Now, in between these two shows, will be doing the housework which will include—-
in chronological order :
> clean the kitchen ( i will not cook if the kitchen’s dirty and grimy)
> sweep the whole house or vacuum, according to my mood, which includes the bedrooms
> mop the whole house (with cats at home, sweeping/ vacuuming and mopping is a must)
> clean up my room, the bed cluttered with teddy bears and whatnots, the dressing table cluttered with watches, rings and whatnots which belong to the three charmed sisters, the problem with the dressing table is that, it is always full of things!
> and then i will do the toilet with the pail of water i had used earlier to mop (save water!!)
> try to cook up something (though my father will soometime take this over when he’s not working)
> and in between, do the laundry if there’s any

(unlike some people who’s had the chance to go ‘london-ing’ as he put it, am chatting with this iiu-mate at the mo, and i got to admit, it’s a once in a lifetime chance!)

usually, all these will be completed by 3.00 pm, and by this time, i will have my space at my fave sofa, brothers and sisters at school and will only be back by 4pm. will have my lunch by then and then READ!!

at 4pm, will on the tv and watch whatever half-hour sitcoms on for the day Reba/ Still Standing/ that 70’s show or whatever it is
(of course, there’ll be the interval for prayers, ni paham2 sendiri lah)

then continues at 5pm with ellen degeneres show and 6pm with Tyrabanks show (I LOVE Tyra, she is one very inspiring model) and have dinner (seriously duduk kat rumah ni memang byk makan)

later at night, there’ll be the tv, i’ll watch anything interesting currently hikmah 2 is top on the list then CSI and the new Ghost Whisperer and sunday nights with Ugly Betty!! and i’ll spend my nights reading and reading or being online.

pretty much the days that i’ve dreamt of~

though surprise surprise, i got a wake up call last thursday, from my alma- mater, asking me to relief a teacher on friday. i so wasnt ready for that!!! but i accepted it though. so first time going to my alma-mater the new building~ felt quite alienated since i don’t know the whereabouts of the building, but the building’s simple actually, you won’t get lost on your first day there. you’ll easily know where the offices and the classrooms are. and the library’s a nice place (there’s vacancy for assistant librarian and am tempted to go for the job!)

i got to take over primary 5, 6 and primary 3 classes. english and science, pretty much subjects i could handle. and am just a relief, so nothing much actually, but the children are adorable!! so many questions and intelligent. i mean where were those days when students were silent as night when a teacher comes in, no questions when asked, obedient and afraid to even make one small sound. those days were extinct. the classes which i took over, i haven’t even started saying anything yet, one of them will surely have one question ready, no, eager to ask.

and there is this one student, she looks exactly, and i mean it, exactly looks like a close friend of mine, al-maarifian, Amallia. when i came into that class, and i laid eyes on this girl, she is so Amallia! believe me! the exact mould! the eyes, the nose, the spec, the way she wears her tudung, the sporty shoes, the way she looks at a person, and the way she talks!! Amal, if you’re reading this… you have got to believe me, she looks like you laa!! I wanted to take this girl’s pic but she was shy, and i couldn’t possibly force her. i almost thought that maybe you had a little sister that we did not know of, but heh, the father’s name is different and the girl denied any relationship with you. if you two were to stand side by side, people will say you both are sisters believe me. the girl was interested to know more about Amallia (apparently, teachers had noticed the resemblance and commented to her, the girl seemed familiar with Amal’s name), so i told her how Amallia was a best student, went to NUS, i remembered her as my Maths and Science- friend, a good friend all the way. I hope with her knowing this, she will take Amallia as her role model, something like a motivational boost for ther girl.

and the week has not ended yet, i had a relief ‘assignment’ at An-nahdhah on saturday, co teaching with Kak Zubed, but she did the teaching mostly. which is fine with me, i know zero about teens alive curriculum, an interesting one though. from 8am to 4pm at an-nahdhah.
and continued with dinner with hazlyn, hafid, hamirul, hamzah and hafiz to celebrate hamzah’s birthday! Hey!! I just noticed, having written their names down, their names all start with H!! hmm, so without me noticing, i went out with the H group and i’m the only Seri~ HHAHA! (if my brother followed, he’ll be Haliffi, another H, duh)
we went to seoul garden, bought hamzah a present (hugo boss lagik, mentanglah dapat *duit*) i had a good time with them. we don’t always got to go out together, so at times like these, i really appreciated their company. i really do. thank you guys!! n girl!

alas, sunday is another great day! watched TRANSFORMERS with the family minus romo (sobs–he had to work) but i have to say TRANSFORMERS is the MOVIE of the year! you have got to watch it, it’s awesomely done! shia lebauof (however you want to pronounce it) is the actor to look for! but mostly the autobots and decepticons are cool. the robotic fight scenes are heart throbbing, mind boggling, eye feasting, ear drumming awesome . the autobots are ADORABLE, if you can call robots that!! seriously, they are humanly cute and humorous + they are robots with no bones (aper yg aku merepek ni?) i mean it, they move gracefully. peeps, you got to watch transformers, never mind if you have never watched any of its animated series in your whole life before, the story is quite easy to understand. i was fortunate i had brothers who were into transformers, so i know a little bit of how it all started. to me, it’s worth the watch!

so a new week has begins… let’s see what’s in store for me……
