What’s in it?

Welcome back!! I have promised myself that i do not wish to abandon this space who have held so many of my stories. my memories, my experiences, the hardships and challenges i have faced. no. i love you blog 🙂

to start of my blog, well, i have been browsing my friends’ blogs, and one of my girlfriend is a make up guru who shared with us the gorgeous make up items she had (http://angstriddenmaiden.blogspot.com) and another mommy to be (http://secretdoor.blogspot.com) shared hers.

now it’s quite embarrassing for me to post this up because i am never a ‘makeuppy’ person and there’s nothing glorious about my stuffs but i just feel like sharing it for some light blogging. Also, with my workplace being only 10 minutes away from home and very rare of me to go anywhere else after work, i dont pretty much need a makeup bag, but it’s a girl thing la, you just need to have one.

oh yes, definitely destressing to be talking about the simple things in life. no?

so what’s in it?

well the bag, i got it as a free gift from The Body Shop. i spent A LOT at the Body Shop. i know it’s white and some pinkish circles there, and for those who know me, i am never a pink person, but well it was convenient at the time i got it, soak up my no-pink ego. the bag is waterproof anyway, so pretty useful. and nice size for my stuff.

I have with me a Maybelline Mineral Power Powder Foundation. For the life of me, I have no idea what that all is about, all i know, i can use it as a touch up when i need to just powder up my face.
my fave has always been M.A.C Studio Perfect, but because M.A.C dont always come in cheap, i had to use it sparingly, so for touch ups and normal everyday use, i use Maybelline’s. honestly i dont really like it, because due to my quite dry skin, i need to put on a moisturizer to make it look smooth on my face. unlike M.A.C. of course. but….i need to at least finish this up before actually buying another. So recommendations welcome!

There’s a Revlon powder brush in Berry Rich, which i dont use that much, only when there’s like weddings or events or dates with hubby.

My fave lipstick M.A.C Satin in Spirit. i fell in love first time bought it and still using it. I love the colour not too pinkish but matches my complexion and my lip’s natural colour. I dont use lipgloss because my upper lip has a darker tone than my lower lip, so putting on lipgloss doesnt do me justice. i use to put on lip balm because of very dry lips, but it has been good nowadays, so i dont always have it in my make up bag, but in my husband’s car. it’s a nivea hydro care.

I have been using Revlon Colorstay Eyeliner for the longest time i can remember. i love it and im sticking to it for now. would love to try liquid eyeliner but havent really find any brand which have that eureka effect on me..yet..

And currently i have the body shop’s lychee blossom body mist for a quick freshen up and i love the smell!! that i regretted not buying more when it was on sale at the body shop. and it’s limited edition! so keeping it only for real need. hehe.

moving on, are THE essentials, i cannot survive a day without these items! and this also means i have them in my husband’s car and extras everywhere, my office desk, at home and i can forget everything, but not these items when travelling.

Nail clipper because i really cannot stand it when my nails are long and i have dry skin around my fingers, so i do not want to be pulling it coz it hurts so nail clipper is a life saver.

and it pairs with my handcream. this is wuta kamille handcream, got it at Watson’s. i love that it’s not a tub, but like zambuk’s kind of round tin. tubs will always accidentally spilled when i unawarely pressed the bag or what. so this kind of packaging helps me. and anyway the handcream is very cooling to my fingers and the dry skins. otherwise, my other handcreams include Body Shop’s almond hand and nail cream and jergen’s hand lotion.

oh bonjela for ulcers, you never know. and after a bad bout of mouth and gums ulcers i had recently, apart from bonjela, i will have a small bottle of listerine’s mouthwash when i need to feel mouth fresh 🙂 save the hassle of having a toothbrush and paste.

for body lotion. currently using crabtree and evelyn’s wisteria. it was part of a gift pack i got from my sis in law. and i have dozens others from body shop and crabtree and evelyn’s. i need them because of the humidity and the weather, i have sensitive skin, especially my legs and arms, so apart from my medicated cream, i have my lotions to help moisturize and cools the skin. i have a spare jergen’s lotion in my husband’s car as well. and i like it that they come in various scents and small bottles.

and feminine cleansing wipes which i always bring whenever going out for emergency using the public toilets.

there you go! my humble essentials for daily use.
Well it was fun putting this down and i hope you have enjoyed reading them as well. i need some brushing up with my writing though. its been awhile. i know.
